Aurus Senat S600 is an all-wheel drive luxury sedan of the executive class (aka F-segment by European standards), named after the Senate Tower of the Moscow Kremlin and combining noble design, luxurious interior and high-performance technical "stuffing" ... The main target audience of the car is "strong of this world "- top officials of the state, officials and senior leaders, large businessmen, etc ...

The international premiere of the Aurus Senat S600 took place in late August 2018 at the Moscow Motor Show, and in March 2019 the three-volume was shown to the European public as part of the Geneva motor show ... however, the development of a full-size premium sedan within the framework of the Cortege project began back in 2012 year by the efforts of FSUE "NAMI", and foreign specialists, including engineers from Porsche Engineering, took an active part in the work.

Exterior

From whatever angle you look, the Senate has a majestic and quite attractive, but by no means unique design: for example, on the one hand, the car evokes associations with Rolls-Royce, on the other, it resembles Bentley, and some see Chrysler's decisions in its outlines ...

The mighty front of the four-door is crowned with neat LED headlights, a huge chrome grill grill and a sculpted bumper with honeycomb air intakes, while its solid rear flaunts elegant lanterns and a powerful bumper with a pair of trapezoidal tailpipes.

In profile, the sedan demonstrates its “noble nature” in all its appearance - a long hood, a wide rear roof pillar, smoothly “flowing” into the trunk process, expressive sidewalls and impressive flourishes of wheel arches accommodating 20-inch “rollers”.

Size and weight

The dimensions of the Aurus Senat S600 are gigantic: its length is 5630 mm, the width reaches 2020 mm, and the height is 1685 mm. The distance between the wheelsets at the four-door is 3300 mm, and its ground clearance is 200 mm.

When equipped, a full-size sedan weighs at least 2,650 kg (the weight of the armored version is much more).

Interior

Inside the "Senate" looks presentable, beautiful, modern and "thoroughbred", moreover, it is distinguished by exemplary ergonomics and exceptionally high-class finishing materials (natural wood, aluminum, leather, etc.). Stylish two-spoke multi-steering wheel with a "chubby" rim, an elegant virtual instrument cluster with elliptical scales, located under a single visor with a multimedia complex screen, a noble center console with an analog clock and an unpretentious microclimate unit - the car makes an extremely pleasant impression in the passenger compartment.

The "apartments" of a full-size sedan have a strictly four-seater layout. The front seats of the car are equipped with ergonomically profiled seats with a huge number of electric adjustments, optimally developed lateral support, heating, ventilation and massage function.

On the second row there are two seats, separated by a massive tunnel, with a full range of electrical adjustments and all the "blessings of civilization."

In the arsenal of the Aurus Senat S600 there is quite a decent trunk (although its exact volume has not been disclosed) with a neat finish with pleasant materials and hidden lid hinges.

Specifications

The full-size luxury sedan is driven by a hybrid power plant - it includes a 4.4-liter V-8 gasoline engine with two single-flow turbochargers, direct fuel injection, a 32-valve timing chain drive and variable valve timing, generating 598 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 880 Nm of torque at 2200-4750 rpm, which is assisted by a 40-horsepower electric motor (400 Nm).

By default, the "Senate" is equipped with a 9-band planetary "automatic" KATE and a permanent all-wheel drive with an electronically controlled electromagnetic clutch, which is responsible for the transfer of potential to the wheels of the front axle.

Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h takes about 6 seconds for the six hundredth, and its maximum capabilities do not exceed 250 km / h.

In the combined mode, the four-door on average "digests" 13 liters of fuel for every "hundred" of the run, while the fuel consumption in the urban cycle is 17.1 liters, and in the suburban cycle - 10.6 liters.

Design features

The Aurus Senat S600 is based on the modular architecture "EMP" (Single Modular Platform) with a longitudinally oriented engine and extensive use of high-strength grades of steel and aluminum in the body structure. "In a circle" the car can boast of independent suspensions with active gas-filled telescopic shock absorbers, pneumatic cylinders and anti-roll bars: in the front - a double lever with a double lower hinge, at the rear - a four-lever with one integral lever.

Standard sedan relies on rack and pinion steering with integrated hydraulic booster and dual-circuit braking system with ventilated discs on all wheels, supplemented by ABS, EBD and other modern systems.

Prices and equipment

Sales of the Aurus Senat S600 in the Russian market should begin in August 2019, but prices are still kept secret (although the amount "from 18 million rubles" for the basic configuration has already been sounded).

At the same time, the list of equipment for the car will be offered really solid: nine airbags, fully LED optics, 20-inch wheels, multi-zone climate control, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition system, automatic emergency braking technology, virtual instrument cluster , media center, premium audio system and more.
