At the Geneva Motor Show in February 2006, the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano was officially unveiled, the flagship supercar with a classic layout, replacing the 575M Maranello, which has been in production for 10 years. The life cycle of the car lasted until 2012, when the successor in the face of the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta was released.

The Ferrari 599 GTB coupe looks beautiful and elegant, which is only a long hood with graceful outlines and a cockpit pulled back.

The dimensions of the body of the two-door "Fiorano" are as follows: 4665 mm in length, 1960 mm in width and 1335 in height. The supercar's wheelbase is 2,750 mm, and the curb ground clearance is 130 mm.

The interior of the "599" has a simple design, made according to the classic motives of the brand - a sports steering wheel, an analogue-digital instrument cluster and a center console containing a minimum number of control bodies. Leather "buckets" are allocated at the disposal of the riders, and there is a 320-liter cargo compartment for the transportation of luggage.

Specifications. Under the hood of the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano is the "formidable" V-engine F140C with twelve cylinders of 6.0 liters, producing 620 horsepower at 7600 rpm and 608 Nm of torque at 5600 rpm.
The entire supply of traction is supplied by means of a 6-speed "mechanics" and a mechanical limited-slip differential, as a result, the supercar accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.7 seconds, its "maximum" is fixed at 330 km / h, and the "consumption" of fuel does not exceed 17.9 liters in mixed mode.

At the heart of the car is a welded space frame made of aluminum elements, with a rearward-shifted engine and a rearward transmission, due to which the axle weight distribution is 47:53. The suspension is fully independent - double wishbone at the front and multi-link at the rear, shock absorbers on all wheels are electronically controlled with magnetorheological fluid. In the arsenal of the steering mechanism there is an electric booster, and the braking system - powerful disc devices on all wheels.

There were other modifications in the history of the supercar. For example, in 2010 at the Paris Motor Show, the "open" version of Ferrari debuted 599 SA Aperta - the roadster is almost completely identical to the coupe both externally and internally and technically. But the circulation of the car was much less and amounted to only 80 copies.

In April 2010, the Italians announced another performance of the "599th", which added the GTO prefix to the name. Features of the two-door Ferrari 599 GTO - a more aggressive aerodynamic body kit and a 670-horsepower V12, delivering 620 Nm of thrust and equipped with a "robot" for six gears with two clutches.

Thanks to the weight reduced by 100 kilograms, the car conquers the first hundred in 3.3 seconds, and the peak speed is 335 km / h.

In the same year, Ferrari introduced 599XX - an extreme version of a supercar, not intended for use on ordinary roads. The exterior of the car is distinguished by a developed aerodynamic body kit, and the interior is completely minimalism and the absence of any amenities.
Under the hood is the same V12, forced up to 730 "horses", with which the "mechanics" forms a pair. The result is as follows: 2.9 seconds from 0 to 100 km / h, maximum speed 315 km / h.

It would seem that it's time to stop at this, but no - in 2012, at the Geneva Motor Show, the public was pleased with the track model. 599XX Evolution... The key features of such a supercar are a large rear wing, like on Formula 1 cars, and the power of a 12-cylinder "aspirated" brought up to 750 horsepower.
